Triptych Jazz Trio will play a fundraiser for “Off The Hook” Arts Program at Ace Gillett’s on Tuesday, October 10th.
Off the Hook Arts seeks to encourage life-long creativity and appreciation for the arts. They provide low and no-cost arts education to children and adults, work collaboratively with scientists and other arts organizations, and bring the experience of world-class music to new audiences of all ages. Off the Hook supports continued growth in performers and arts appreciators alike, and encourage audiences to champion a vibrant local arts culture.
Off the Hook Arts and Ace Gillett’s present Triptych Jazz Trio, a New York and Chicago based ensemble featuring Grammy-winning violinist Zach Brock, bassist Matt Ulery, and drummer Jon Deitemyer.
As a compositional collective they are creating new repertoire that draws on the traditions of jazz, contemporary classical, and American roots music. While Brock, Ulery, and Deitemyer have been playing together for over a decade in various ensembles and have recorded together extensively, Triptych marks their first collective endeavor.
The music is an unorthodox combination of post-Romantic classical, Appalachian, and American jazz dialects fused with rhythms from West Africa, South America, and Eastern Europe.
One drink minimum per ticketholder is required.

A small family run operation, founded by husband and wife duo Tim & Carol Cochran, has very quickly become a Fort Collins staple since its inception in 2014. However, their passion for craft brews dates back much further – all the way to their early courtship in 1987 and a little brewpub in Mountain View, Ca. This brewery has been dreamed of and planned for since their honeymoon, in Napa Valley, Ca. where they spent every dinner at a local brewpub. Since then they’ve spent many years traveling and sampling beers from around the world.
Even the name Horse and Dragon has its own history, combining the couple’s childhood in the western US (symbolized by the horse) with their 10 year stint in Asia (symbolized by the dragon). Final planning for Horse & Dragon Brewing Company just so happened to begin in January of 2013, the end of the Year of the Dragon, and opened to the public in May of 2014, the Year of the Horse. The name was written in the stars.
The couple, along with their Brewer Titus Bentley and with the help of their friends and family take meticulous care to ensure they are creating fresh, tasty craft beer for you to enjoy. Whether at their taproom or around town, they strive every day to operate an environmentally sustainable, approachable, and unforgettable craft beer experience.
