Greetings, Jazz Fans! Ace Gillett’s Music Director John Olson here to let you know what we have cued up for this week:
Jazz Jam Session
Wednesday, 12/4 – 7:00 to 11:00 pm
Tonight we’re having our weekly Jazz Jam Session, hosted this week by Jack Roben (guitar), Seth Lewis (bass) and myself and drums. Drums, Piano, Bass, Guitar Amp and a Vocal mic are all provided. As always, we ask that all interested performers follow our musician’s dress code of suit and tie for men and cocktail attire for women. All playing levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Weekly food and drink specials are featured as well! We only have three more jam sessions before we close for Renovations on January 1st, so come on down and sit in!
Andrew Vogt
Thursday, 12/5 – 7:00 to 11:00 pm
Local Sax-man Andrew Vogt is back, accompanied by Tom Amend, Domi Edson and myself. ‘Tis the Season and tonight is probably the first night we’ll bust out some Holiday Jazz…We take requests!
Jeff Jenkins Trio
Friday, 12/6– 8:00 to Midnight
The Subterraneans welcome Jeff Jenkins in a Trio setting with Domi Edson and myself
Ben Markley Trio
Saturday, 12/7 – 8:00 to Midnight
The Subterraneans welcome back the Ben Markley Trio for Ben’s only appearance at Ace Gillett’s in December (so you don’t want to miss this one!). Ben will be joined by Domi Edson and myself.
Mark Sloniker
Sunday, 12/8 – 7:00 to 11:00 pm
Local Legend Mark Sloniker is back behind the piano to play all of your favorites. Mark usually plays solo for the first set and is joined by family and friends throughout the evening.
We can finally announce the exciting news – Beginning January 1, Ace Gillett’s will begin a renovation and redesign project! We look forward to delighting our customers with a newly designed space, updated menu and delicious bar offerings, while preserving our rich history, live music and familiar comfort. Don’t worry, you won’t be without us for long – doors will reopen mid-February!
