Andrew Vogt

Andrew Vogt’s enthusiasm for music originated early in life. Initially performing on the saxophone in elementary school, and as his passion for music grew, Vogt continued to add a diverse collection of instruments to his repertoire, including the clarinet and the flute. He earned a degree in music from the University of Nebraska, and since then has performed professionally at over 5,000 events.

One of the top musicians competing for the Cognac Hennessy Jazz Challenge in the late 1990’s, Vogt spent three years after the competition sailing on cruise ships performing every night for hundreds of guests. Andrew resides in Fort Collins and performs every Thursday night at Ace Gillett’s with The Subterranean Jazz Quartet.  He can also be seen performing around the state with The Jonny Mogambo Band, pianist Jerry Weiss and his own groups The Andrew Vogt Gypsy Street Trio, The Twirling Zucchini Trio and ZARO.

In 2006 Andrew started his own record label, Drew’s Blues records, and has released two CD’s called “Action Plan” and “Cats Afoot.”
